Pre-College Credit Programs

GEE is in partnership with UC San Diego Extension Pre-College Program to cultivating young minds by exposing participants to cultural and highly interactive experiences internationally at the high-school level.

In an increasingly competitive world, most competitive schools look beyond SAT, ACT and high school performances when selecting students. Pre-college credits have an opportunity to get students ahead of the application processes.

This partnership enables students to obtain pre-college credits that they can apply at UC San Diego or at another university of their choice.

  • Students in grades 9-12 at the time of travel are eligible to participate.
  • Transcripts for these college credits are issued through the UC San Diego Extension.
  • Pre-college credits.
  • Coursework is completed while traveling and facilitated by educator.
  • A personal essay and a presentation is required as a final evaluation upon completion.

GLOBAL CITIZEN - Leadership Development and Current Affairs

Global Citizen exposes students to the current affairs. Students will be given the historical development of the country they visit and its basic organizational, functional and legal features, in comparison to the United States current events. Students will be experienced of the traditional culture, furthermore to gain knowledge in global relationship development. Throughout the program, cultural activity is connected with leadership training and personal growth, which students experience as program unfolds. Students collaborate, reflect and engage in group discussions. The program is a great introductory course for high school students to prepare them for political science, history, and social study courses in college.

STEAMANITIES - S.T.E.A.M. with Humanities and Current Social Issues

GEE STEAMANITIES (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics and Humanities) was inspired by two Canyon Crest Academy students in San Diego who participated in Humanities competition at MIT in 2017. They also belonged to the Envision Conservatory for the Humanities. These two students saw how the Arts and Sciences have been ripped away from each other.

S.T.E.A.M. Across The Globe - S.T.E.A.M. with Biomedical and Ecosystem Studies

S.T.E.A.M. Across The Globe is a a three-week S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) course. Upon completion of the coursework, each student will earn 3 Pre-College Credits. S.T.E.A.M. Across The Globe focuses on a broad topic, using multiple threads of S.T.E.A.M. Students will be exposed to college-level education taught by UC San Diego Extension qualified educators.
